Another Tiny House Building Course with The Bower

This was the second tiny house building course put on by The Upcyclist and The Bower, held over 6 days in October 2018.

For this course, I modified the design of the tiny house by reducing the pitch of the roof to increase wall height within the build. We also experimented with using slightly smaller framing timber, to gain additional internal space for the tiny house. When building a tiny, every millimetre counts!

It's always a thrill to see a tiny house coming together as we never know what kind of salvaged building materials we'll be able to secure. I prefer to use timber casement or awning windows as they don't require sash weights (unlike reclaimed timber double hung windows), but occasionally the absolutely perfect aluminium window will present itself and it finds a home in the tiny house.
